Magformers is an educational toy for children that has developed a strong reputation around the world with distribution channels covering more than 65 countries which become one of the teaching programs at Gymboree Play&Music.
Magformers was established in 2005 by a group of architects in Plimoth, Massachusetts, USA in order to develop magnetic toys for enhancing children's development. It has become a well-known magnetic construction toy and has been accepted by educational institutions and parents as being able to provide great learning and play experiences for children. In 2000, Mr. Kee Young Park, owner of the South Korean Gymboree Play & Music license and the owner of Gymworld Inc., who appreciates and values learning with this magnetic construction, decided to take over the trade from the architect’s group and built a team with 200 members to research and develop Magformers products in the form of toys at home and classroom materials. This made Magformers receive the "Family Choice Award'' and the highest "Platinum Award" for 4 consecutive years in the field of toys for development and intelligence. Based on an evaluation by Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, the world's most respected consumer organization, Magformers were also mentioned at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics in 2012 and 2014 which is regarded as one of the most useful educational toys for the development of mathematical thinking and creativity.
Today Magformers is an educational toys for children which is distributed in more than 1,400 leading stores worldwide, such as Kohls, Target, ToysRus and constantly expanding more distribution channels to provide a convenience for the customers to engage more with the Magformers brand. Gymboree Play & Music Thailand is the only authorized distributor in Thailand that can contribute Magformers products in Thailand and Magformers program for early childhood at Gymboree Play & Music in every branch.
